Situated on the banks of the Charles River, McArthur Hall is the residential facility for Harvard University’s world-renowned Executive Education program, an extension of the Graduate School for Business Administration. Rising six stories, the exterior design is contemporary yet maintains the traditional aesthetic synonymous with Harvard.
The residential program is organized around a prominent courtyard with public lounges and living rooms forming three sides of the space and an existing classroom building completing the courtyard’s enclosure. The 170 single bedrooms are arranged in clusters of eight private rooms with a study lounge and dining areas that encourage executives from all over the world to interact. Generous bay windows are oriented to provide exceptional views of the courtyard and river from the lounges. The program also includes many public spaces on the ground level, including a spacious lobby, a lounge, small break out spaces, and a den/library.
