Due to Tedesco Country Club’s growth over the years, they were in need of a new clubhouse to satisfy the requirements of the expanding its membership. CBT was commissioned to perform a complete programming analysis and space allocation study for present and future needs and then to design the new 45,000 sf facility.

The new building occupies essentially the same footprint as old one but will be angled differently to provide better views of the course from both the inside and outside dining areas. It is sited to alleviate the safety issues with the 3rd tee while being tied to the first tee. The building embraces the steeply sloped site and melds seamlessly with the landscape.

In a “natural shingle style” with a slate roof, the design echoes the original club house that burned down in the 1920s. The program includes a large patio and a permanent tent that is contiguous to the main facility. Green building strategies were incorporated into the design to lower energy and operational costs.
