Built on a wooded hillside above the main residence, this guest cottage overlooks The Berkshires. The 4,500-square-foot house was designed to accommodate the owner’s children and to provide space for the entire family to gather. The kitchen and living area are connected by a central fireplace that allows the family to be together while meals are prepared. A screened-in porch provides a protected area for dining with a view of the 40-acre property. Although the home was originally designed with four equal sized bedrooms for the children, two bedrooms were converted into a master suite and the owners moved in.
