The design of this intellectual property law firm’s four-floor office articulates its philosophy of creative thinking and understanding of invention. The design breaks away from the traditional heavy and dark law office look and projects instead a sense of innovation, modernity, and flexibility. These objectives are achieved through an ample use of glass, open spaces, curving corridors, exotic materials like zebrawood for panels, and a surprising punctuation of the space with points of bold color. The design not only projects a clean, modern image of the company, but the use of translucent resin materials, customized with inset flowers, and the many glass-encased conference rooms, allow for a degree of privacy without obstructing the abundant natural light. Throughout the offices, the design establishes a timeless yet modern look through a combination of clean geometric symmetries and sweeping curves.
