CBT designed this new 22-story, 855,000-square-foot commercial office building with 574,800 square feet of office to be an integral part of Liberty Mutual’s Headquarters campus. The program includes commercial office space, an employee Cafeteria that spans the ground level and second floor, an urban park and four levels of below-grade parking. An all-glass luminescent pedestrian bridge connects the new building at the new 700-person cafeteria level with a new 25,500 square foot conference center in the headquarters building and links the complex together over street level.
At 22,000 square feet, the new cafeteria offers 700 seats and serves over 5,000 employees. The new space enhances the corporate culture of “breaking bread together”. Offering the latest in contemporary dining design and nutritional and multi-cultural food trends, the main servery features an exhibition cooking station, international cuisine, sizzling salads, brick-oven pizza, themed specialties, and extensive healthy hot/cold salad offerings. On the first floor level there is a convenient grab-and-go retail outlet with extended hours offering espresso coffee drinks, Paninis and ready-made salads. Security screens allow the serveries to be closed during off hours while the dining areas remain open for employee meetings, events, and social interaction.
The conference center is designed to draw a wide range of user groups to a central location for meetings, presentations, events, and client interface. This new two-story conference center provides 11,000 square feet of office space on the first floor and 65,000 square feet of flexible open meeting space on the second floor.
