Le Méridien Cambridge-MIT

Le Meridien-MIT Cambridge was looking to refresh the public areas of their existing property in the bustling MIT neighborhood. The design team transformed the guest experience into a connected and vibrant destination by reinventing the ground floor to feature an enlivened bar and lounge reflective of the hotel’s midcentury-modern brand and the innovative spirit of the Cambridge/MIT neighborhood. The design brings local recreation and cultural influences alive as a gathering place to delight in discovery and new perspectives.

With the nearby Charles River as the source of inspiration, the entry, bar, and lounge flow seamlessly in alignment through an artful combination of rustic craftsmanship and modern sleek textures. Upon entering the welcome area just outside the bar, guests will be revitalized with the clean and polished lines that flow as fluidly as the Charles River. The welcome area demonstrates the combination of Le Meridien’s midcentury-modern feel with a taste of innovation and technology found in the Cambridge and MIT culture. The three-dimensional iconic rower sculpture speaks to guests as a symbol of movement and motion.
