Abescon Inlet Master Plan

Revel Entertainment opened a luxury 1,400-key casino resort on a 20-acre site in Atlantic City and sought to develop a master plan for an adjacent 120-acre area. Located on the northern edge of the Boardwalk, the master plan builds on Revel as an anchor and includes workforce housing, a restaurant row, a culinary institute, boutique hotels, and commercial development along with a 5.5-acre Ocean Park and a 5-acre Light House Park. Through a partnership with the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, the project elevates the position of Revel and Atlantic City among local and international competitors by improving the district and creating a well-rounded offering for families and non-gambling tourists.

Working with a multi-disciplinary team, the master plan created a major gateway to the neighborhood at the intersection of Atlantic and Connecticut Avenue by adding institutional and academic space. A pedestrian-friendly street extends from the gateway site, features restaurants and retail, and creates visual connections to the waterfront while drawing in the energy of the boardwalk.
