
Melanie Maddox Joins CBT as Associate Principal, Director of Marketing and Communications
CBT is pleased to welcome Melanie Maddox as our new Associate Principal, Director of Marketing and Communications. In this leadership role, she will be responsible for dynamically leading and shaping how the firm tells its stories through marketing and communication strategies.
Melanie’s focus will include developing a cohesive, forward-thinking marketing approach that supports CBT’s commitment to designing places where people and the planet thrive. She will oversee the business development strategy, guide the creation of marketing collateral, and coordinate closely with the communications, branding, and design teams to ensure that all efforts reflect the firm’s mission and values.

With over 20 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and commercial real estate industries, Melanie has developed and led strategic marketing programs that connect design excellence with business growth. Most recently, she served as Marketing Manager for the New England Region at Cushman & Wakefield, where she led integrated campaigns and sector-specific marketing initiatives. She previously held marketing roles at SmithGroup, Leers Weinzapfel Associates, Goody Clancy, and Perkins & Will.
Melanie is excited to collaborate with teams across the firm to communicate about the ideas, people, and projects that are shaping equitable and sustainable futures. Her work will play a vital role in sharing CBT’s mission with its co-creators and communities.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and is an active member of CREW Boston and SMPS.
