Marilyn Shen is a Principal and Director of Workplace at CBT, bringing over 20 years of expertise in workplace strategy, design thinking, and organizational culture. She leads CBT's workplace studio in reimagining how we work in an era of digital transformation and AI, creating environments that deepen connection, elevate performance, and adapt to the evolving needs of people and organizations. 

Through evidence-based design and a keen understanding of human motivation, Marilyn partners with clients to align space, culture, and business objectives. Marilyn guides organizations through transformation by integrating research, strategy, and planning to curate meaningful workplace experiences. Her approach balances analytical rigor with empathy, fostering collaboration and helping leaders understand how physical environments shape behavior, engagement, and productivity.

Prior to CBT, Marilyn served as Managing Principal at TRIA Architects and later founded her own consulting practice focused on real estate strategy and design. Marilyn holds a BA in Economics from Wellesley College and a Master of Interior Architecture from Suffolk University.
