Alta Union House, a hip new urban development, was among the first residential projects to take a risk on the evolving Downtown Framingham. Located on a site previously home to underutilized industrial buildings, the 196-unit apartment project has changed the context and fabric of the entire neighborhood.

Being on the ground floor of the city with the Mayor’s support, the opening of Alta Union House was a widely celebrated event and has continued to be a magnet for residents local to Framingham and beyond.

CBT was responsible for the interior design of the future-forward amenities and shared spaces, as well as two outdoor amenity spaces. One of these consists of a an outdoor theater/courtyard located outside of the club room, known as the “Lawn;” and the other is a courtyard with pool deck, outdoor grilling area, and lounge space dedicated to the building residents. Working with Boston Art, CBT curated a thoughtful collection of unique pieces that speak to the local flavor and community.

Additional designed spaces include a tech lounge with adjacent bistro; large and well-appointed fitness areas; and a club room which is used to partner with many microbreweries and other local business for tastings and community engagement.
