Marilyn Shen Joins CBT Architects as Principal, Director of Workplace
CBT Architects is excited to announce the addition of Marilyn Shen as Principal, Director of Workplace. In this role, Marilyn will help shape the firm’s approach to workplace design and strategy, focusing on creating spaces that bring people and purpose together.
Marilyn brings more than 20 years of experience in architecture and real estate strategy to her new role at CBT. She understands how design can strengthen culture, spark new ideas, and help organizations adapt to change. Her work combines strategy and empathy as she helps teams create workplaces that reflect who they are and what they stand for.

Before joining CBT, Marilyn was Managing Principal at TRIA Architects, where she led firm operations, growth initiatives, and culture development. Most recently, she founded Kodo, Inc., a consulting practice focused on real estate strategy and workplace transformation.
A Certified Professional Culture Facilitator and LEED Green Associate, Marilyn’s work bridges people, design, and performance. She will be based in the firm’s Boston office and will collaborate closely with CBT’s workplace, life sciences, and mixed-use teams to advance people-focused design across the firm.
